Readout-Integrated Time-Bin Qutrit Analyzer for Echo-Based Quantum Memories

چکیده

We present a method to project time-bin qutrits stored in an echo-based quantum memory using several successive partial readouts of the memory. demonstrate how this scheme can be used implement projections onto full set mutually unbiased bases and, therefore, enables characterization arbitrary states. Further, we study integration protocol for case atomic frequency comb spin-wave storage by simulating process and performing experiment with bright pulses ${}^{151}{\mathrm{Eu}}^{3+}$:${\mathrm{Y}}_{2}{\mathrm{Si}\mathrm{O}}_{5}$. In context, compound pulse implementing quick succession is introduced characterized.

Nondestructive Readout Scheme for Thin Film Memories

If a magnetic bit in a thin film memory array is driven in the hard direction, the changing flux produces eddy currents in the surrounding conducting surfaces. It has been pointed out by Pohm and others that the eddy field produced by these currents always tends to restore the bit magnetization to its original direction. If this eddy field were strong enough at the end of the word drive pulse, ...

Solid State Spin-Wave Quantum Memory for Time-Bin Qubits.

We demonstrate the first solid-state spin-wave optical quantum memory with on-demand read-out. Using the full atomic frequency comb scheme in a Pr(3+):Y2SiO5 crystal, we store weak coherent pulses at the single-photon level with a signal-to-noise ratio >10. Narrow-band spectral filtering based on spectral hole burning in a second Pr(3+):Y2SiO5 crystal is used to filter out the excess noise crea...

Quantum cryptographic network based on quantum memories.

Quantum correlations between two particles show nonclassical properties that can be used for providing secure transmission of information. We present a quantum cryptographic system in which users store particles in a transmission center, where their quantum states are preserved using quantum memories. Correlations between the particles stored by two users are created upon request by projecting ...
